Had it not been in the darkness,
Completely void of light;
Where would she have found the cure?
How could she spot a spec to ignite?
How far did she journey towards it?
How many breaths did she breathe upon it?
How many prayers did she lay before it?
How many dances, danced to stir it?
When it became a roaring fire,
You came with your marshmallows and guitar;
You sat down beside her,
But did you inquire:
How did the embers grow…
Into a blazing fire?
