Create A New Pile Of Old Bones & Conjure New Life: Relationship Archeology

Collect the bones.

Go back to each hiding hole and dig them up. Stumble into them in the dark desert night.

Climb the mountains and brave the tops of trees where they were left along the flight path.

Find the bones and insert teeth.

Crack the bones with one swift, strong motion of the jaw. Inhale and yawn. Exhale and crunch.

Let the quake of the force of teeth create a fissure up and down what was once solid and strong. Break. Open.

Taste the metallic tang of iron in soft, red bone marrow.

Allow the juice of what was once solid to permeate the tongue and saturate the senses.

Feel the now jagged edges of bone, the squishy marrow and the life juice of what once was.

Chew the bones. Let them nourish. Give thanks for what was and what is.

Create a new pile of old bones. Remembering. Conjure new life.

Integrate blood and bone and memory within. Old. New.

Repeat.

Collect the bones.

"There are days where my wolf skin is all that will fit. The only thing that feels nourishing is a walk deep into the woods where I am faithfully greeted by wise teachers like the trees and the Great Mother herself. Language is secondary, not even necessary." — Katie Burke @There are days where my wolf skin is all that will fit.
