You Can’t Defeat The Darkness Until You Have Become Her

CREATE

BY INA GJATA

Scars from the past, the abyss chaos comes for me
Maybe it isn’t all dark
They say I am the light

I should be the light
I should find love
But bruises hurt too much

The gift of seeing is not given to anyone
and yet there are scars
This war looks too big for me

He is not my King
Someone else is
and this isn’t a King-Queen tale
covered by the magic of a fairytale, the story is too real

I feel like letting go
Still the wild whisper,
whispers of strength and victory

I am not ready
Between who I am and who I am not there is still dust, there is still attachment,
there is still hurt

Will the hurt ever end?
It isn’t even a beast
I could be a beast and fight and scream and be blood hungry
Suck the blood and feed my anger, feed my thirst.
