Your Soul Craves Magic
I love how in the Harry Potter books there is a Muggle world and the Magical world. They coexist side-by-side, but those who live in the Muggle world have no idea that magic is present all around them.
These stories about a unseen magical world are appealing to children and adults because they hold within them the ancient archetypes which we experience in our life’s journey.
Stories open us up to perceiving more of the magic already around us everyday.
Around the world people have written stories about fantastical beings and happenings that have amazed and inspired us for thousands of years.
The ancient myths from Egypt, Greece, India and indigenous cultures across the globe tell the stories of gods, goddesses, angels, archangels, fairies, spirit guides, kachinas, star beings and more who lived fantastical lives.
Deep down we KNOW that there is more to this world than what we see or experience in our everyday lives.
From Shock to Awe
It’s really easy for many people to become caught up in the mundane existence. We are so busy working, keeping up with the internet, tending to our homes, caring for children, making dinner, driving somewhere, or watching funny cat videos.
When our nervous system experiences trauma or shock, it shuts down unnecessary functions in order to survive. Many people are walking around today in post-traumatic states as well as high-levels of extreme stress which are overwhelming and make it challenging to tune into intuition, divine guidance and spiritual connection.
Sometimes during stressful experiences, our higher senses are dulled while the body is diverting energy from subtle perception to the sympathetic nervous system of fight or flight.
This is why integrative practices that calm the nervous system, focus the mind, balance the emotions and enhance proprioception, such as yoga, meditation, massage, and dance, are so awesome for also increasing spiritual awareness.
If you are craving a deeper spiritual connection and want to cultivate more magic in your life, then try taking up a somatic practice that works the body, mind, heart and soul.
It’s up to you to see and recognize the opportunities when they come your way. Pay attention and notice the divinely inspired way of living. The magical world of expanded spiritual senses tries to reach out to us all the time.
Celebrate when magic appears in your life to capture your attention and add some sparkles! Follow the rainbow, take the scenic route, and listen your your intuition as it guides you to new opportunities.
