How Are You Authoring This Chapter In Your Most Perfect Life?

humanity collective

“How are you authoring this chapter in your most perfect life?”

My friend Joshua Hathaway just presented this question and all evening I have been pondering this very thing.

If it’s true we create our world with our thoughts and manifest them into form, we have long since needed to break away from our current narrative of imbalance, discordance, lack, fear, and greed. We have needed to find our way back to the garden, to remember we come from Love and we are here to learn how to find the light of God inside us and one another.

So many have been acting out scripts that were written by people who have forgotten how to love and instead let power become their Master. They have become greedy and they have taken advantage of those who still remember that we are here to love and serve one another.

Throughout our existence we have created stories where we have major situations and world events that teach us and guide us into remembering how to come together as a collective humanity. And each time the lessons get harder and what’s at stake becomes even more important.

Our earth is suffering because of our neglect and carelessness.

We have homeless in the streets. We have addiction and we have disconnection and discrimination. We have too much darkness and not enough light.

It’s time to let in the sun.

We are all facing our mortality and that of our loved ones. This is one of the best times to take stock in who we are and where we’ve been and who we most want to be. It’s a chance to rewrite our story to make it one of love and peace and coming together and acceptance and sharing the wine and bread and respecting the resources we take for granted.

It’s a time for unplugging and reacquainting ourselves with each other and ourselves. When was the last time you sat in total silence with nothing to do but be in that moment of silence? When was the last time you allowed yourself that gift? I did it today and it was heaven. For those moments I forgot what was happening in the world. I was a kid again totally absorbed in the place I was in.

It’s time to realize that it’s not stuff that matters. It’s not money that matters. It’s people, it’s us that matter. It’s our connection. It’s kindness. It’s living organically and naturally and tribally and it’s seeing that we all share the same desire to find peace and joy and happiness in this experience.

I am in charge of my own story and I am writing myself out of the main frame narrative of fear, lack, and the rest of the darkness.

The fear I carry now during this pandemic is motivating me to keep busy while trusting in the bigger spiritual picture and the way we are all coming together virtually and as community.

We are seeing each other with new eyes and seeing how we are equal, everyone is affected right now, a collective suffering and loss many of us have never seen in our lifetimes. Ask Great Depression survivors, World War survivors about life then and after. And think of all the beauty that came of it. All the music and art, the great literary masterpieces. I am writing like crazy, every single thing I am feeling and witnessing so I never forget, so my grandkids know our stories.

I always knew as a child I would be part of something historical, apocalyptic. Something like the 60’s that helped us rebirth ourselves into better people. Now more than ever, we need a collective rebirth, a baptism by fire. It’s sad it takes a tragedy but that’s the human experience, all duality.

I believe we will become a better humanity when all is said and done.  I believe we will be proud of each other. I am already proud of us.

These are the stories I am writing of us, our Tales of the Tribe. And these are the stories I am writing of myself: how we are resilient and magnificent, how we are stardust and we are golden, how we found grace in the darkest moment, and how we finally learned to love one another as we love ourselves.
