Rivermoon is on a journey. Hers has been one of unraveling the lifetimes of ties that have held her back from embodying her beautiful authentic Self. Writing is simply an instrument through which she experiences life. She also meditates and dances and handstands and travels and teaches yoga. These practices have taught her that when we let go of our limited ways of being, we discover that there is a deep hunger within to free our truest purpose as humans on this planet. Rivermoon writes with the intention of expanding her vision to see the beauty that is infused in this life and to inspire us all to walk towards our most magical selves.
BY JESSICA BASKEN AKA RIVERMOON I believe that birthdays are fantastic opportunities for personal reflection on the past and to refresh intentions for…
To hold space for someone does not mean anything more than to allow someone to be just as they are. When we are held in a space where we are fully accepted as we are, we can heal.
All you need to do is remember. Remember how you cried openly as a child. Remember the healing elixir of nature’s beauty. Remember the feeling of laughing until your belly aches.
Life knows when you are ready for change. Maybe you’ve seen much more hardship than you would ever wish on anyone. Perhaps you’re trying to orient through a dark storm as we speak.
So, the more I tell myself I’m worthless, the more I believe it. The more I love myself up, the more lovable I feel. So, love the shit out of yourself! It may very well be your only lifetime to do it.
Do that other thing that you were too scared to do because it wasn’t culturally appropriate. Ah, and do that thing that you are dying to do but may make you an outcast (or a hero).
